One of my favorite places in all of Orlando is Disney Springs. You might know it better as "Downtown Disney" and if you haven't been since all of the transformations, then you are missing out. The place is gorgeous and there are a million and one places to find food, drinks, shopping and entertainment. It's my husband and my go to places for a great date night.
If you find yourself around Disney Springs and you're not sure where to eat ( because there are SO many choices), you might consider Chef Art Smith's Homecoming Florida Kitchen. It's all things comfort but on a level that only Chef Art Smith can do. We're talking fried green tomatoes, chicken and waffles, biscuits and much more. If you want to feel a little more upscale, they have one of the prettiest ( and most delicious) charcuterie platters in Orlando.
Of course, I love their food and wine but you have to check out the decor of this place. I don;t know who designed it, but I'd like for them to come decorate my beach house. I find it important to include that I don't actually HAVE a beach house. But, if I did...I'd use the designer from this kitchen.
I was particularly fond of the place settings and the stemware. ( Aka: wine glasses) They have the Homecoming Kitchen logo and the state of Florida and YES they are for sale if you want to take one home. (We have one)
The service was super great and the staff is incredibly nice...just like you'd expect to get from anything "Disney".
If you have family in town or maybe you're just looking for a new place to eat on your own, Chef Art Smith's Homecoming Florida Kitchen is something just a little different than what you are used to. I know, the name is a mouthful, but it's totally worth it. If you want to look ahead, you can get the full menu HERE.
My name is Jill...and I love wine.
